AI for the work in between.

I’m an AI consultant based in Milton Keynes. I build local AI systems that take on the checking, retyping and chasing for small businesses, especially production companies, agencies and studios. You get hours back and fewer costly mistakes, and because it all runs on a Mac in your building, your files don’t have to go to an American tech giant.

Built for media and creative teams.

Production companies, agencies and studios run on deliveries, versions, approvals, rights and schedules, all against hard deadlines. That’s where the catalogue mess, the deliverables chasing and the reports built by hand pile up, and it’s the kind of work AI can take on.

What usually holds it back is the same. Teams can’t put client or unreleased material into public AI tools, and new systems get built without asking the people who’ll use them. Big companies have AI teams to solve that. Production companies, agencies and studios usually don’t, so I set up Asrun to do it for them, and for any small business where someone checks information by hand.

Every delivery checked before it leaves the building.

This is the kind of system I build and install. It reads your inbox, rights sheet, asset folder and schedule, checks each delivery against the spec, and drafts the follow-ups for you to approve. It all runs on Asrun Local, a Mac in your building.

Hi, before Friday's delivery of episode 4: the folder has v6 but v7 was approved on 31 Oct, subtitles drop out for six seconds at 10:12:04, and the music licence ends a week before TX. Shall I swap in v7 and chase the licence?

Why I put the AI in your building.

Most AI services send your files to a cloud provider to be read and processed. I start the other way round with Asrun Local: an open model running on a Mac on your own network. Cloud and hybrid setups are there when a job suits them, and I’ll tell you when it does.

Local isn’t magic. The Mac needs the same care as any work computer, and I set up who can use it with you. What it removes is the biggest unknown: where your files go once someone presses enter.

Your material stays in the building

Rushes, unreleased cuts, contracts and client briefs are processed on hardware you own. They aren’t uploaded to an AI company, kept on its servers or used to train its models.

AI on the work you couldn’t use it for

Plenty of client contracts and NDAs rule out public AI tools. A local model lets you use AI on exactly the material those tools can’t touch.

Costs you can plan for

A machine you buy once and a monthly support fee. No per-seat subscriptions, and no usage bill that grows every time someone asks a question.

Yours to keep

The model runs without an internet connection and doesn’t depend on a provider’s prices, terms or plans. If you stop working with me, it keeps running.

What I build.

Three kinds of work, often combined. Each one starts with a conversation about a job that takes your team too long.

From “could we?” to “this works”.

Most projects start with a job someone does by hand and a hunch that software could help. This is how one of those becomes a working system.

Episode details arrive by email. Rights sit in a spreadsheet, assets in a shared folder, dates in the scheduling system. Someone copies titles, synopses and dates between all four and checks they agree. It takes hours, and mismatches still reach the delivery.

Pick a job. See how a system would handle it.

Six workflows from different parts of a business. Each shows where the information comes from, what the system does with it, and where a person makes the call.

Before a programme or campaign goes out, every file is checked against the delivery spec: versions, durations, captions, audio levels and metadata.

You’ll work directly with me.

“I’m an operations person who builds with AI. I’ve spent years on the receiving end of new systems, testing them and rolling them out, so I design for the people who’ll use them on a Monday morning. If a spreadsheet or a simpler process would do the job, I’ll tell you.”

Bring one job that takes too long.

In 30 minutes I’ll help you work out whether a system like these could take it on, and what that would involve.
